Cider Days Hosted by Raven Used Books

Raven  Used Books (the newest venue in the Franklin County CiderDays weekend celebration) hosts a full day of free lectures and a ticketed cider tasting on Saturday, November 4. 

Join us for the following events! All talks are free and open to the public except for the final session at 5PM, which is a 21+ ticketed session!

12:00 – 12:45 PM.  Fruit explorer Sean Williams from Illinois tells the story of Dearborn Seedling, an American heritage pear variety nearly lost to the sands of time. 
1:00 – 1:45 PM.  Laura Sieger (Maine Heritage Orchard) and Sean Turley (@therighteousrusset) lead
a guided, interactive apple tasting of New England’s heritage apple varieties. 
2:00 – 2:45 PM.  Andy Brennan (Aaron Burr Ciderworks) shares experiences on cider and perry, fermentation, wild fruit, and life through the lens of his recently published book,  
Uncultivated. 
3:00 – 3:45 PM.  Matt Kaminsky (Gnarly Pippins) and William Mullan (@pomme_william) discuss their forthcoming book, 
Pomological Series Vol. 3. Join for a sneak peek of the new book, and a Q & A.
5:00 – 6:00 PM.  Certified Pommeliers™ Tim Powers and cidermaker Casey Simpson host a guided tasting about ciders beyond New England. Sip and compare cider styles from England, France, and Spain, 21+ event, $15 admission. Purchase tickets here:

Additionally a condensed display of the 4th Annual Wild and Seedling Pomological Exhibition will be in the Raven Books Community Room.
