Katie Clarke & Larry LeBlanc ~ Evening Concert

Katie Clarke & Larry LeBlanc ~ Evening Concert!

Saturday January 13th, 7pm at The Mill, Downtown Shelburne Falls

Hear this talented songwriter and instrumentalist/harmony vocalist blending bluegrass, folk, country, gospel, & old-time favorites!

Katie Clarke and Larry LeBlanc met in 2016 at the Conway Inn bluegrass jam in Western Massachusetts. Katie had just left her group the Boxcar Lilies and hotshot multi-instrumentalist Larry had just moved to Conway from the City of Old Town, Maine. The magic began! Their duo developed a mix of Katie’s soulful originals and choice covers of bluegrass, folk, country, gospel, and old time music and enjoy bringing it to venues around the Northeast.

About Katie: Katie Clarke began performing music in the Pioneer Valley in 2004 after moving there from California. Playing claw-hammer banjo and guitar, her original music appeals to many audiences from young hipster 20-somethings to older folks who grew up listening to Patsy Cline, the Louvin Brothers, Johnny Cash and Hank Williams. Formerly heading her own Franklin County based group, Katie Clarke and the Green River Band, Katie’s musical energy for the many years was focused on the female three part harmony-vocal supergroup the Boxcar Lilies. With the Lilies, Katie traveled the eastern seaboard bringing spine-tingling harmonies and crackerjack songwriting to clubs and festivals, and concert series’, and sharing the stage with a range of acts from folkies like Bill Staines to international bluegrass stars the Seldom Scene. Their second and third CD’s, Sugar Shack (2013) and Knockout Rose (2015), became big folk and Americana radio favorites garnering many accolades. In 2016 Katie left the Lilies to pursue new musical adventures closer to home and to spend less time on the road and away from home in her beloved Franklin County .
