Artisans and artists at The Mill at Shelburne Falls, located at 49 Conway St. Buckland, MA, are open to the public for National Craft Open Studios Weekend occurring July 18 and 19 from 12-5pm. This first-of-its-kind, nationwide celebration invites the public into the creative spaces of craft artists across the country offering guests a rare glimpse into the processes, tools and inspiration that shape how handmade works are made. National Craft Open Studios Weekend is presented by the American Craft Council and launches as part of Craft in America’s Handwork: Celebrating American Craft 2026.The Mill at Shelburne Falls is sited on the banks of the Deerfield River and the sustainable energy gained from the river supports a unique collection of makers working in glass, ceramics, wood and fiber arts. The Mill has free onsite parking at 49 Conway Street and is located on the Buckland side of the Iron Bridge at Shelburne Falls. Admittance is free. Accessibility: The grounds of the mill are both paved and hardpack surfaces for parking. The Handle building has one entryway at grade and other buildings have loading ramps. Assistance may be needed. Access to second floor in the main building is through stairs. There are 22 stairs with a landing and handrails on each side.
